Go Go BoudiccHare
Go Go BoudiccHare is painted by artist Helen Smith, who was inspired after researching Queen of the Iceni, Boudicca. Legends claim that in going into battle she would release a hare from the folds of her gown as a form of divination to point her to victory. On painting the Hare Helen said “I liked the idea of including lots of gold and bronze, for example the torque is based on the Snettisham torque that was part of a large hoard of treasure discovered in Norfolk with links to the same period as Boudicca”.
Go Go Hares Trail
Going live on the streets of Norwich, the GoGo Hares trail will run from 24th June – 8th September 2018. There will be 50 city sculptures forming the main trail with a further 18 county hares across Norfolk in towns, villages & tourist attractions. The trail is run in partnership with Wild in Art, all the sculptures will be auctioned off on 11th October, with the proceeds raising valuable funds for Break Charity.
